Mind shifts!

In Steve Chandler's book Powerful, Graceful Success, he writes:

Every shift you make, your mind opens and you see
more possibility. Soon you’re seeing more opportunity, and
you have more energy and freedom. Because every shift
you make you drop your old story—the story about how
ineffective you thought you were.

The story about who you thought you were—your belief
systems about your helpless and hopeless areas of life, is
simply not true. You have power way beyond what you
acknowledge during the day.

Steve constantly talks about mind shifts.  These are the places where you realize that how you respond to things going on around you or people in your lives is actually something you can control.  You control it by how you think about it.

We have 1000's of thoughts that either drift or race through our mind in the course of day based on the impressions and perceptions our amazing brain makes.  Those will then, if dwelt upon for any length of time, cause us to "feel" something or develop an emotion about.  If those are all positive things we label as "good", we are in great shape.  But, if they are negative and we label them as "bad" and dwell on them long enough, we can turn our day into a downward spiral!  The key is the labeling of the event and then the dwelling on it!  You have a choice!  You can decide how you will judge it or label it and how long you will let it live in your brain.  That is free will....free choice.....your decision....

When we determine something as good, the endorphins flow and we either rise to a happy state or remain there.  When we determine something as bad...Why judge it?  How many of the "bad" things in your life have really led you to the next great place?  What if rather than labeling it as bad, you decided to look for the lesson in it, take hold of the lesson, and build something beautiful from it?  You can do just that...it requires you to stop reacting to every situation which comes your way.  Instead, stop.  Take a deep breath.  Redirect the thought.  Create a response, rather than a reaction.  This is grabbing hold of your moments and creating a beautiful new life and new you....

Happy mind shifting!
